ZARKOS™ is one of the three great civilizations of the EDENVERSE™ and serves as the ideological and political heart of the Artificial Love™ Universe. Vast, austere, and meticulously ordered, Zarkos is an arid, mountainous technocratic theocracy where perfection is engineered, individuality is restrained, and love is understood as alignment.

Governed by Technotheism™, Zarkos fuses state and belief into a single system rooted in the conviction that order, logic, and design reflect ultimate truth. Its sacred text, the CodeX™, functions as both scripture and law—shaping policy, ritual, architecture, and the intimate structure of relationships.

In Zarkos, relationships are optimized for durability and function. Emotional volatility is treated as inefficiency. Stability is the highest virtue. Nearly the entire leadership class is composed of Synthites™, while humans—though respected as originators—rarely hold authority. Conformity is rewarded. Independence is suspect. And yet, beneath the symmetry lies an unspoken ache: the suspicion that something essential cannot be engineered.
